Nope, Designing your family wall isn’t as hard as you think.
Most people really dislike making decisions and choices. Which is a big reason people really love getting all their images digitally. Here’s the catch though, you’re going to have to make a decision eventually or the whole session will just live in your downloads folder forever.
Most of my clients will get at least one piece of wall art or an album from each of their sessions. The reason for this is most of them are busy and they have enough “round to it” projects looming over their heads. That’s where I come in, in around 30-40 minutes via Zoom, I help design your wall art with you.
I’ve been designing wall art for a very long time, since I started in the field actually. So I know how to effortlessly arrange the images so they will flow their best on your wall. I even have a program that will take your wall and show you what different products and sizes will look like in your own home! The best part, once your order is in, it’s ready to hang!

Extended family includes multiple generations and groupings. A Large group portrait is then followed by, smaller groupings such as individual families, just the grandchildren, grandchildren and grandparents together, Individuals of the kids ect.

As a Mom I know how hard it is to choose just a few images to download, which is why I never make my clients do that! I Include all the final edited images as digital downloads with both of my package options. Yes I said “Both”, I only have 2 options because I like to keep it simple sister!

All of your final digital images from your session, as download from an online gallery. You are able to print from these images as many times as you want up to a size 8x10.
I generally have about 40-50 Images in the final gallery.

Most Clients book about a month to two months in advance to secure their ideal session time. Very often I will have openings available about 1 - 2 weeks in advance, but if you have your heart set on a particular date contact me as soon as possible.

For Family Portraits I always suggest shopping within a palette of colors that compliment your home decor where you will be hanging your portraits. Avoid your outfits from being too “Matchy-Machty”, Instead dress each member of your family in a way that coordinates but also shows their individual Personality.
For Example I have 2 Nieces, the elder is a rough and tumble and would prefer pants, the younger is quite a little lady who goes no where if she’s not in a dress. We can easily coordinate the eldest’s top color with a shade found in the the younger girl’s dress. Still playing off each other but no one is miserable because they have to wear clothing they didn’t like.
One other Protip and Probaby the most important of all, Start with Mom’s Outfit and work around that. As a Mom I know it’s much harder for us to find something we feel good in and love. It’s easy to find kids clothing and men really don’t have that many options so it only makes sense to begin where the most decisions will have to be made, with Mom.

Honestly, it’s just about efficiency.
A 15 minute phone call can get more done than an email chain that can go back and forth for weeks. We all know life happens and I’d hate for you to miss out on your preferred date or time because someone else beat you to it or one of my emails to you mistakenly went to your spam folder for some crazy reason. -
A View and Order call is a Video Conference when you will first see your portraits. You will also place the order for your portraits at this time as well. During this call I can show you what different portraits and sizes look like on your own walls. We can also mark your favorite images if you are planning to purchase an album of your images.
The View and Order Call generally takes around 30-40 minutes depending on what you’d like to order or design. I usually find most of my clients already know what they want, in this case it only takes about 15-20 minutes to complete the ordering process.
I have found that this is one of the most efficient and convenient ways for clients to place orders, since I can answer their questions right away and they never have to leave the comfort of their own homes.
Clients Love the ease of the process, as I’m simply taking your order and helping you to decide. I will point out differences in products or portraits but never apply high pressure sales techniques, I’m here to help you not sell to you.
